can't find the thread or the poster, bending tube to follow factory lines.

I know, it is a toyota but here are some ideas on bending tube to follow lines.

the door bars have a total of nine (9) bends and hug the factory lines to a "t". Places that require a shallow, (i dont know what else to call it) bend, were bent w/ 2 bends facing each other, (kinda hard to explain)

ex. find where you want the bend and mark it...
bend it one inch below, turn the tube around (insert it in the other way) and bend it an inch above. comes out real clean.

Looks good. What are the specs on the toy??

It was a victim of a rollover and was bought cheap. healthy 22r, lincon locked rear, lockright front 4.7 t-case,4.56 gears, 36 irocks on h1 beadlocks. tapered front clip, decisions still to be made on the suspension, but for sure 4-link front and rear. either going to be coiled or air shocks.

everything but the 4.7 t-case and if we go air shocks are parts just laying in the garage. he has enough parts to make a complete toyota and stil have parts left over.

total cost including tube, purchase and small stuff is now at $700 we are trying to keep it under $2k
