So i had to swap in a 10 bolt in place of my dana 44 to match my gears in the 14 bolt I have. After putting the 10 bolt in with my original calipers (were working fine before) and now no matter how much I bleed these they wont build any pressure and I am driving around with back brakes only. The truck sat for about 3 days with brake lines hanging down so could that be any part of the problem because the whole system drained ? Any way to bleed (so called bench bleed) calipers and or master cylinder on the truck? Any help is appreciated.

when you crack the bleeders does anything come out? air or fluid? or nothing at all. a good way i have found to bleed troublesome brakes is to pressure bleed them. there are many kits you can buy online or in stores to do this, but i have made my own that work just fine. Uses air pressure to force fluid down through the master cylinder and out the bleeders.

Brake lines

What would be a good length of new brake lines for a 6'' lift on a 82 k1500? i need good length for flex but dont want too much so that they hang too low and catch. I plan on gettin steel braided, any kit suggestions?

I have a set of Speed Bleeders on my trucks, and they work great. They are relitivly cheap, and bleed brakes systems better than any other method (other than a Power Bleeder). They also use less brake fluid to get the job done. Speed Bleeders will only bleed the air from the calipers, wheel cylinders, and brake lines, but not the master cylinder.

For the master cylinder just bolt it in, and have another person push and hold the brake peddle, while you crack open and then close the brake lines at the master cylinder. Then do the rest of the job using the Speed Bleeders.
