i always see guys asking for help and everyones always helped me so here i go again.
New distributor that the mechanic put in, when i got it back there was pointed out to me that there is a slow leak of the fuel line that is evident when ideling from the carb. other then that i cannot see any other evident damage.
now when starting up the 350 crate with stock carb, it seems to idel fine in park, but putting it into gear then accelerating it cuts out, backfires some, stuters and then regains itself to maintain a decent sounding idel. keeping the truck at a constant speed( 20-60 mph) it runs fine, but its the accelerating that there is something worng. the checl egine light comes on as well.
i know this is a broad description but any help would be great!
