Guys,

I'm installing the intake adapter plat and the bores don't line up exactly. Is this going to be an issue? this is the front mount adapter plate.

Thanks,
Ray

Yep. Heavy on the gaskets on both sides

Check the bolt length penetration through the TBI into the adapter. I've found that they can be too long and try to lift the adapter plate off of the manifold

Conversly, I also add the 1" spacer below the TBI

Mine was different (must be what you'd call "rear mount", where the TB is at the back, didn't know there were different kinds.) I had to use a 1" carb spacer to clear my EGR and choke block offs. I think this doesn't apply to you, but double-check your clearance as I only found the interference halfway through.

I don't think this is a good idea...You're limiting yourself to the cfm of the primaries, which is way less than what a TBI t.b. can flow. I guess it'll be o.k. if you don't intend on going over 40 mph...

Try turning the plate around...?

I thought about running the rear mount adapter, but I ended up pulling the manifold and replacing it with a tbi manifold.

Excellent!!!! Do it right the first time.
