Here's a brief history of my gen 1 build so far. I didn't start out nearly as rough as some of my CK5 brothers and sisters, I give you guys with the full restos all the credit in the world! Any feedback I could get would be awesome. Thanks!

Looks good to me! :waytogo:

I'd ditch the clear taillight lenses, and bolt on a couple of stock bumpers. THEN, you'll be stylin'

How do you like those King shocks? I've never seen a truck that used their shocks with a leafspring setup.... I'm curious to hear driving impressions.

:usaflag:

I have some custom bumpers being fabbed as we speak. :D I was going to run my stock bumpers but I figured I have this much fab work already why not shoot the moon. I promise to keep them tasteful. No big tacky sh*t.

The kings ride great. Although my springs were custom made to be extremely soft. So it balances out. You can grab my cage and pull the truck all the way to one side. I'm not sure how they made a leaf so soft, but they managed. But this thing just rides like a cadillac. Bottoms out in the desert so I have 4" airbumps for all 4 corners that I need throw on. Then we should be fully functional at higher speeds. But on the street...forget about it. Couldn't be happier.

Sweet ride, similar in some ways to my current build, a streetable/beatable blazer. :waytogo:

Welcome to the 1st gen tribe, how long has it taken you to get this far with it?

Sweet build......a nice mix of classic blazer and modern performance!

VT - Been going at it for a little over a year now. And yeah, that's exactly What I was trying for, streetable and beatable. It gets tons of love around town. Chicks dig the K5's. ;)

Yukon - I think the images on there get larger if you click on em. If not, the ones in my files are pretty huge. PM me if you'd like to see anything in particular and I can shoot you an email.

Moody - Thanks man, again, exactly what I was going for!

Thanks for all the support guys, feel free to post pics of your rigs on this thread. I haven't seen a good Gen 1 pic thread for a while!! We need an ode to the coolest truck to ever roll off the assembly line.
