Carnage from wheeling today

This is going to sound funny but try holding the switch while pounding the inside of the door with the side of your fist. When my power window in my car went out, I could still get it to work by doing that, once it started moving it would continue moving. Then you can replace it easier. Good luck.

That's how I get mine to work when it's cold out.

That reminds me. Gonna have to address that before the top goes back on.

I would really hate to destroy that nice window you sent my way.

I do believe I will have to remove all 4 seats, tool bags, cut out the tool rack then get the spare out.

That will give me the access I need to the gate panel.

Have to fix the motor mounts in my daughters car first.
I wonder if you could lift the top off without breaking the window? :dunno:

I hate the frickin' tailgates on the K5's. I don't know how many times I've had to repair my manual crank window. I've replace the glass at least 3 times plus the time I broke the back window in my Dad's K5 at Blazer Bash. I think he broke that window at least once himself.

I was at the local wrecking yard today. Started looking at the barn doors on a suburban. It would be some work, but it sure would be nice.

Take the inspection cover off that will give you access to the cable that runs from the motor to the regulator. Unscrew the cable from the motor and use a drill to spin the cable. The cable drive is just like a speedo cable so if its broken they are the same size. The rear window on my old K5 would not go down at all unless i used a drill or did it manually with a wrench.

Wife asked me after yesterday, "Does he break everytime he goes 4 wheeling?"

:whistle::thinking:Yep pretty much:doah:

Not hardly.

"If your not breaking it, your not using it".

I have an excellent record of no breakage. I wheel monthly near home and daily drive the thing. So if I break it every now and then, no big deal.

The Moab break ended up being a blown locking hub.

I say you use your K5. I bet if I jumped my k5 once, like you do all the time, it would crumble. Your suspension is bad ass. I think yours holds up real well for what you put it through. :pimp:

Yep if I wheeled mine as hard as you it would be broken in half. Plus it would take me 3 times as long to fix it as it does you.

I went through a period where I was always breaking something. Knock on wood its been pretty dependable lately.

If I had a tow rig and trailer I would probably already have moved closer to buggy mode. But alas I am a poor boy trying to play in a rich man's game.

Just tickled pink to be about to start on the doubler install.

I had a great time at RAM with you guys. I have a cool vid the wife shot of KTM flying the blazer and softly landing. Mine would have bounced a few times and shed parts. I will try and post the pics and vids.
