Carnage thread

Sledge hammer is BtoC's truck he's the guy that works for the State Dept. and has been out of country for a few years and this is his first chance to make it back to BB.
Sounds like it might need new king pin bushings and the Tow checked to me.
I had a beadlock bolt loosen up on Saturday. I had to use my fingers and spin it back in. Totally sucked

The knob on the jeeps AC control panel fell off and was lost somewhere in the floor or mats.
We took some time to brainstorm and with teamwork and a healthy attitude my grandfather and I pulled through the breakage .
We did have one point on the way home when all hope seemed lost for optimal climate control after I misplaced the pliers though
I'm confident with some shake down runs, a well thought out plan and a couple spare quality oem replacment knobs from the dealer it wont be a issue on future trail runs.
Happy we made it home after such an ordeal

I had to replace my battery after I bumped it out of place and poked a hole in it and my front locker stopped working for awhile. Other than that, carnage free. ( I guess that means I didn't push hard enough...)

Shackle bolts lose. Toe was 1 inch out. He drove it home. Well almost. Altinator or something is giving them issues. But he and Mrk5 are almost back.
I blew an inter cooler hose off of the turbo elbow 2 miles from home.
Im going to get a horse. At least I can shoot it when it goes lame.
I think the Sledgehammer needs some overhauling. It was put together almost 7yrs ago and had been thru a lot since.
I think Brandon might be right about the king pin bushings. There's something not right when having the TREs adjusted all the way in doesn't get the toe-in close. Before BB it had probably 200mi on that setup without ruining a tire so I'm thinking something happened on the trails.
I don't think the battery is taking a charge. We had a hell of a time even getting it to start off jumper cables the last time. We tried to park it on inclines to push start it most of the stops on the way home. Once it's running everything is fine as far as voltage goes.
Oh and we did make it home.
No carnage on the crewcab.

Oh and can't forget the busted winch on the Sledgehammer. Winching a truck up Gaurdian Rock the cable looped back, cobbled up the cable spooling in and busted the tie rod out of the motor housing case.
Let's remember the key facts: The Sledgehammer got me to Blazer Bash, through all the trails, and home again. 1,058 hard miles on a truck which was built while it was my daily driver 7 years ago (when every project was an overnight project so I could get to work the next day) and has sat for the past 3 years.
With a list of of repairs and upgrades in hand the Sledgehammer will return better than ever next time around

Noooooo. On the Sledgehammer. So next year I have a small smoother ride.

Wade, I'm making arrangements to haul the Sledgehammer down to your place this weekend. Nick said you agreed to do the work for $0 labor and let him make payments for the parts over the next 10yrs. But that you guaranteed the work to be done by March 1st, 2014 with everything in perfect working order. Awfully generous of you.
If you can find me, have at it. The adress you have is in SD. The truck will sit there a long time.
Nick has "friends" that will help with that problem.
But none of them are working right now
Since Nick probably has some time off he can work on his truck

Bumpstop blew out sometime on Thursday while running Kane Creek. After three applications of duct tape, it finally expired while on Behind the Rocks on Sunday.
Time for hydro bumps!

I got more carnage in 4 hours at Bundyhill, than you all had all weekend....I gotta do something about that!
