I just wanted to show you guys the istallation of new carpeting in my 78 K5.Probaly the only perso putting carpet back in a blazer. lol

You are not alone ,I'm putting carpet in my Blazer too !

Man I only wish my floor had that little rust on it. I am ordering tailpan, entire bed floor, wheel wells, front floors, and carpet to restore mine to it's former glory.
 
You suck. :wink1: my blazer is 7 years newer then yours and rotting away. Looks good. keep the pics coming.

just took mine out too......so, how the heck did you get that black tar looking adhesive off of your wheelwells?!? :confused: i've been trying to get that stuff off for days!:doah:
 
Looks very nice. I think mine was that color from the factory. I pulled my carpet and my floorboards are metallic blue :haha:
 
don't worry i'm working on putting something back in my blazer too! It's so loud down the freeway. Probably go rubber though.

I used autozone degreaser, a sharp putty knife,and wire wheel,and lacquer thinner.

First use the degreaser and putty knife to get the majority of the stuff off.then degreaser and a wire wheel,get it clean,and wipe down with lacquer thinner

I used a combination of a wire wheel and a gasket scraper.
