My Blazer will NEVER be as nice as yours is.

Nope. Got a '73 Blazer. Mechanical fuel pump on the engine block. But I know how you EFI guys feel when your in-tank fuel pump goes out. I've been there too. And it sucks.GruntHunter said:Any of you guys ever thought about putting in an access panel in the rear floor to get at the fuel pump so you don't have to drop everything?

I don't know man, my Blazer is really nice but it isn't perfect by any means. Your '78 looks pretty damn good. You're not far off.1978Blazerk5 said:My Blazer will NEVER be as nice as yours is.

It looks like this!1978Blazerk5 said:Off of curiosity what does the engine bay of your truck look like (only picture i havent seen of your truck)
Yep same here.1978Blazerk5 said:Needs a good cleaning
See, you're not too far off. Your engine bay may be cleaner than mine
I want to get mine cleaned up and restored this summer.
i wish my enigne block was orange, but i am not going to pull the engine to paint it.Craig Artzner said:The engine block is orange. It's just dirty. Needs a good degreasing. Valve cover gaskets leaked for a long time until I replaced them over the winter.
Actually, if you were going to go "period correct" with your '78 K5, orange blocks from the factory disappeared after 1976 on Chevy light trucks. I'm 95% sure on that.1978Blazerk5 said:i wish my enigne block was orange, but i am not going to pull the engine to paint it.

I see your sound deadener under the hood is mostly intact. Most of the trucks I've seen the material is nothing but shreds.
OK you're right, it sucks.1978Blazerk5 said:take a look really closly at the sound deadener theres not much left to it
j/k
