Wish I had more pictures. I’m asking him for some of the stuff we built before the internet too.
My dad is one hell of a mechanic. Hard shoes to fill for me. Him and I built tons of cars while I was growing up. It’s what we did. It’s who we are. Large shoes to fill for me but I am my fathers son. His legacy will live on with me when he takes the long sleep. And that legacy will be passed to my future son.
In 1955 my grandpa (Grandpa Pictured) bought this 1931 Dodge roadster for $50. It was just a body and frame. This car sat on my great uncles property for 52 years. When my grandpa came down with cancer he asked me and my dad to build this roadster for him.

that’s the same bucket too. 4 years before my grandpa passed he got to drive his roadster. Date on this photo is incorrect this is a photo of a photo. Total frame off with a 350 Chevy and lokar shifter for the TH350.

1950 Chop Top Shoe box ford. This one the B pillars are sloped. C notched the frame. It was on bagged suspension. You could drop the rockers .025 from the ground. 500CI Cadillac and T-5 5 speed manual transmission. 55 corvette grill, 99 devile taillights. This one was sold to a guy who supposedly put it in a Barrett Jackson action.

1973 Jensen Healy Roadster 1/500 in the United States. Lotus engine with Weber downdraft carburetors. I didn’t help my dad with this one as he moved out of state when he built it. I just think it’s a bitching car and I love driving it when I visit him.

1927 Model T High Boy. 348 Tri-power W Motor. T-5 5 speed manual transmission and position 4:11 gears. You could burn the tires off in every gear. I drove this one to many car shows. Very fun car. Me and my pops almost died in it one time. Coming down the highway some guy pulled right in front of us. Those finned aluminum drum brakes look great but they are not prepared to stop us for something like that. We nearly rolled. Luckily I only hit my head hard on the passenger window and the front axle was wrapped. We had it rebuilt in a weekend.

Here it is getting put on the trailer for the new owner. God I miss this car. We drove it until the motor gave up and pops put it up for sale to build another project. Really sad it’s gone still.
