We are still trying to get our act together for BB this year. If we can make it we would probably join the group in Gateway to take the scenic drive over on Thursday.

Any ideas what time the group will be arriving/departing the Gateway area? We would just make sure we are there ready to fall in as the group passes by, or stops for fuel in Gateway.

Hoping to get registered soon during a T-case swap, rear brake work, full service on all fluids, finish building my power tank, etc...etc...

I need to just sit down and make a decision on the specifics for that one. I'm thinking we'll depart Grand Junction at around 9AM. Aside from that, I don't have much specific yet.

Tom Cherry and I go this way everyyear so If there is a Time that you guys want to hit this let me know. Tom will be leaving in the mid morning. Its a nice senic drive. Switch backs and ups and downs. A Blast to run at night

I'm thinking 9 or 10 AM start. Where do you think would be a good place to meet?

The Best place to meet is Right there in White Water at the DOT Pull out unless you want to meet where there is Food and Fuel. Just so you all are aware there is no More fuel in Gateway nor is there a food store. The Lodge is still there but has been remodled. Unless Im wrong and they moved the Pumps somewhere else. I can find out on Tue or Thursday next week.
The Dot Pull out is right off hwy 50 in Whitewater and just before the gateway turnoff. to hwy 141

Also there is a City Market in Orchard MEsa and or Clifton which would have food and fuel and are next to parts stores for the just in case.

City market in orchard would be a great place to meet. Also we fueled up our bikes in Gateway last fall at the pumps near the fire station. You don't really want to pay for it but if you have to have it, it was there then for sure.

A fun alternative to this trip would be crossing the Dolores river up near Dewey Bridge and/or driving up or down Sheep Creek out of Gateway. I need to run that in/on something other than my bike to say it's good for our trucks but I know the Grand Mesa Jeep Club does Sheep Creek with a bunch of JKs at Rock Junction so it's probably fine. Just kind of narrow and steep. This time of year crossing the Dolores should be easy, water should be very low.

I like the idea of meeting at the last, convenient place to fuel up.

If I could find a safe place to park the semi in Grand Junction, I would do the drive and just live out of the Jimmy for the week.
