Im bored and wanted to see what other people have. I personaly have a firestick 2, radio shack whip antenna (bout 4ft), and an 8 ft whip antenna. Which i what i use.

What do yall have?

My truck had an NMO mount ( common for ham radios , like a threaded button the size of a quarter ) on it , so I just got an adapter to 3/8 , and a Radio Shack antenna with spring on the end , about 4 feet total height right smack dab in the center of the roof .

102 SS whip on one truck and (2) Francis 5.5' antennas on the other.

I got a 102 on my truck now, but im going to be changing to a predator 10k here soon. Gonna be completely redoing my cb setup, changing radios, linears, speakers, antennas, etc.

I have a 48" Barjan fiberglass antenna with a spring mounted even with the B-pillar centered on the roof. The spring is a must if wheeling near tree branches.

K40...just gotta remount the base somewhere smart.

Two 48 inch barjans with 6 inch springs at the bottom at the front corners of my box on my K10

on my SBlazer I have an old school 36 or so inch stainless whip, with a 2 inch spring at the bottom. Its on of the old ones made to mount to a car truck, but I made a bracket and mounted it to my roof rack

Wilson 5000 on a Gumdrop, Cobra 29wx nw st tweaked and peaked with a 150 watt linear in my 'Burb .
Wilson 5000 on a magnet mount, Galaxy 66 (stock) in my brown truck

4' firestick. Never used it much though. How well do hand held CB's work? Thinking of the simplicity of a handheld 12v charge and the ability to hook it on the belt and take it along.

The range of a handheld is pretty limited. That said they can be great for spotting duties on the trail.

PM sent as to not hijack.

RADIALL/LARSON nmo 27(mag mount) with just a SS trimmed rod. Mag base is not phased at all by highway speeds(80MPH). Burb roof makes a great Ground Plane.:D
