There was a thread on how to do this at on time. The one in the console is really hard to do bacause you cann't really get the pick in there to get the lock apart. Do mine last year and don't remeber how I got it apart right now.

That one really has nothing on rekeying, swapping key tumblers, reinstalling with clock spring, etc. Thats where i struggled.
I didn't have to rekey mine. I just had to get it out if a broken lid and put it inthe console I had. I use to be able to get take out all the time at the conversion company I did work for. Just wish I would have gotten some extras back than and put them way.
But it does show how to get them apart si you can get them out.
True. There are a few other sites online that show that too. Key being that you close the latch before you try....i zip tied mine closed.
Used a 90˚ pick from a pick set from kragen to punch the pins in.
It was a bitch.
um, SUCK. hopefully i can figure it out. That locksmith must be a tard, i remember taking it apart accidentally when i was like 5 on our first burb. And putting it back together no problem
The sad thing is, he runs both locksmiths companys in town.
