The other day, I changed the tranny fluid in the 241 and I was able to move the chain with my finger.

How much movement is suppose to be there?

Thanks

Mike,

IIRC, there should be roughly a 1/2" of deflection in the chain. I rebuilt mine almost a year ago, so I'm not a 100% sure, but I have the information written down at home. If you don't get a firm response by then, I'll post back up and let you know how incorrect my recollection was.

Lance is right, only about a 1/2" of play. any more than that and you run the chance of it jumping the teeth on the gears.

Here lately I have been getting a werid vibration when I lift my foot off of the go pedel, but not all the way. Just enough to coast, but decel. Then, I just put one of those T-case savers for the 241. It doesn't allow my yoke to slip in as far. I am not so sure about it. I think I might take it out and put the spring clip back in.

Anyone have the same werid problems?

Thanks
