Change of Plans for Potent Rodent

The pulleys came from a performance shop I can't remember the name of. They list all their stuff on Ebay too, so search for BBC pulleys and you should find them. The accessory brackets are from Alan Groves components and I picked them up at On Track Performance. Here is another pic of the setup. The power steering brackets have more components, but they are installed on the pump.

Thanks! I'll check out On Track. I have to go there anyway for something else.

It looks like your valve covers are about the same height as my old ones pictured above. I like the look of the squared covers but I couldn't get mine to fit under the brake booster. I had to go do the tall chrome Chevrolet covers that are angled just enough to fit under the booster. Let me know if yours fit.

Shawn,

I know a guy in Canyon City with a brand new doubler kit, twin stick setup, and rebuilt t-cases if you're interested :doah:

J/K...

Looks like that K5 will rise again. The last time I stopped by your house and you mentioned you were thinking of parting it, I almost cried on the way home. Between yours and Toby's K5's, I've never seen another I'd rather own. To be honest, I was knida hoping Toby would sell his. I'd love to buy it...depending on the $$$

Way to go Shawn......

Your 496 motor post is stealing all the views away from my 496 thread!!!

:D

Any HP/TQ estimates on the motor (before nitrous)???

Wanna run 'em? :deal:

Man! Don't tempt me like that!

Yeah, I was close to just selling all of it. When you're broke, you're broke! :( But it all worked out in the end. Just took much longer to the K5 on track again. Thanks!

I went ahead and posted on your thread to get some attention again.. :D

If I build this similar to my last engine, it should be over 500 at the crank. My cam might be a tad smaller with 114 LSA but my manifold will be properly ported this time to match the rect-oval ports if I go with the Edelbrocks. Its all in the tuning. I must of spent all day at the dyno shop last time to get it dialed in and it still wasn't perfect.

I'm thinking we should be on...

One of my friends was on that Pinks all out show. The one where it is a lot of people racing for a prize not their ride.
