So as the title says, i’m swapping my 14bff yoke out for a 1410…my question is, do u think it’s “safe” to just zip the pinion nut off and put the new yoke on? my concern is with the pinion nut and crush sleeve. so the preload stays the “same” or in the acceptable range, and i forget if the nut is re-usable…it’s been a while since i built the axle

i honestly MIGHT have that already in there, i re-geared and built this axle 17yrs ago, so my memory of the details r foggy, but thats easy enough to check while the yoke is off. i’ll give it look. I also just ordered a new pinion nut for cheap insurance that it stays torqued. thank u guys.
