I broke a D60 yoke this past weekend. I think I have a replacement lined up and I need to get it put on by next Wednesday. I believe I also tore the pinion seal.

Anything special I need to do? Do D60's use a crush sleeve? Just zip the old one off and the new one on?

Its possible that some 60's use a crush sleeve, but none of the Chevy ones do.

Just take off the old yoke and replace it (torqued to ~250 ft. lbs., always replace the pinion nut).

Cool, it's just a Chevy 60 front.

Any place I can buy the pinion nut seperately? All I can find are kits that include bearings, shims, etc. for $100+. All I need is a nut and a seal.

Wow, that's a shocker. Do you know if they can get pinion seals as well?

If you have a local 4X or manual tranny shop, They can get the pinion nut for ya, if they don't have one on the shelf. Get 2 when you do find em :D. If you're really desperate and need one soon, I have a spare I could send ya.

The seals are pretty common, I could get you number if you want, gotta dig through some receipts to find it though.

Any of you guys have a spare 1310 Chevy D60 yoke? Just been informed that the replacement yoke is a 1330 ford.

There's a custom made adapter that sits in the yoke. There's no chance of the adapter breaking and the only reason the yoke broke was my own stupid fault.

Gotta have another 1310.

Not sure if the dealership has seals. I'm sure they do, but I just get mine fom autozone. Cheaper I'm sure than the dealership.

Mikey Catco in Burnsville has them in stock. 952-894-0390. They ship and do some delivery to repair shops. Maybe piggyback your parts with someone elses?

There's a Catco in Mankato too so I'm sure I could get it closer. The counter guy at NAPA will have the seal tomorrow, he's gonna check one of his other sources tomorrow to see if he can get me a nut.

I'll go to NAPA and pay more to go there too. The morons I run into everywhere else are just sad. That...and my buddy just forked out $100 to Catco to shorten a shaft, and it's .75" out of round, and they "might" be able to fix it.

The bolts I used were too short for the yoke. 2 of them backed out and the other two sheared because the truck ripped the adapter out.

My own fault, the yoke won't break if the assembly doesn't come apart.

i have my stock 1310 still around after going 1410. pm me
