I think I'm gonna make this truck to drive fast through fields and maybe hit small jumps.

I don't have much money.

What would you guys do?

I was thinking maybe adding double shocks to the front and putting a taller and stiffer front spring in. But what about the rear?

The frame and both axle housings won't take well to jumping the truck.

Trusses are inexpensive to make and will really help the housings survive.

Reinforcing (or boxing) the frame is relatively inexpensive too.

Yeah, keep the suburban as a daily driver and buy an old Turd Ranger with the IFS. Those are great for jumping and you can tow it with the Sub.

Well it was going to go to the scrap yard

BB needs a new timing chain. I pulled everything and all I need to do is put one on. It still has 250k miles though.

I guess I can always try to make into a 4wd. Thats what the previous plan was but it seems like a lot of work. It would be much nicer than my current truck though.
