Where are the during pics of you getting pissed off at the parts that wouldn't come off without major persuasion?

Funny story....

I woke up early on the weekend mornings and got started on this project. I did really well, for awhile. One beautiful Saturday morning I am having troulbe with something and I crawl out from underneath my Blazer cussing and screaming... Wife calls on the cell phone saying "shut up, I am trying to sleep":haha: :haha: :haha:

It started out so nice and neat, I'm sure it turned into somthing like your avatar.:haha: :haha:

You could say something like that. No it actullay went real smooth except for getting the new bushings pushed in.

I would like to extend a BIG THANK U, to all the members here for showing and explaining to a nOOb that this can be done.

 Thanks to the CK5 Brotherhood:bow:

Nice. You need to let me come up and paint it for you. www.Rapcoparts.com in Bowie has got any flat military color you could want. For about $30 plus beer :D we could make it nice and purdy.

I love it! My wife was totally pissed at me last night. I was trying to get the front swaybar back on - I had it bolted on to the spring blocks and was trying to get it back on the brackets. Had it sitting on a hammer handle (hey you use whats handy right) so when I drop a bolt I'm trying to get started I knock over the hammer and the swaybar drops down and tags me right on my (hollow after this stunt?)noggin. :doah: Well, I commenced to yowling and letting off a few choice words - ok and chuked a couple of fair sized box end wrenches at the wall at the same time.:angry1:

So the wife is in the living room doing some knitting or crocheting or whatever you do with yarn. She comes boiling out into the garage with the cordless phone in her hand ready to dial 911. Said she thought I had knocked the truck off the jackstands and was crushed the way things sounded.

Yeesh.

Do you mean how long did he soak his nuts for? Your sick.

I new when I was going to start the project...I started soaking everything down about a week before.

What you have heard is true about the steering arm. I recommend, as others have PB Blaster and Sea Foam Deep Creep+BFH.

I don't know which green, there's a ton of military shades. I've got the paint gun. All you need is a gallon of paint and some mineral spirits to thin it. Plus whatever you prep it with, sand paper, etc.

I don't know how anal/meticulos you are. You might want to look at mine first. I think it looks good, but I'm sure pro's would probably find some faults with it. The one good thing I've about it so far is that it's tougher than nails. Plus, I can repaint it anytime I want.

I was having a similar episode putting a rearend in a truck at my parents one night. My Mom came out and said "If you prayed half as much as you cussed, you might get something done" She received a few choice words that I had to apologize for later. Praying might work better, but cussin is a lot more fun.

That looks really good :waytogo: . What tire size are you stuffing in there (I apologize if you've posted it somwhere else)?

Thanks man. Currently running 31's want to run 35's. Although I am having an itch to try some 36's:eek1: w/trimming.:doah: :doah: :doah:

I am not ready to step up to 1 ton stuff, but I am sure after I break something it will happen.

Post up pics with the new tires when you get them - a before and after would be sweet to have as a comparison - especially for the nOOby's
