:haha: :haha: :haha:

Just installed a new radiator that doesn't leak and holds enough coolant actually make use of an overflow. hehe

that's good news to me. mine was busted when i got the truck, and since i'm going to finally be putting the truck back together and trying to pinch pennies at the same time, this gives a good tip. :) what is that, AZ Tea?

Nice :saweet: That's my kind of resivoir. It would look great in my truck.:D A Jim Beam bottle would also look good! But I'm not sure of the open alcohol thing:haha: :haha: That was a good way to save some bucks.

Works fine for me in firefox without doing that.

Well, you get the fullsize image if you right click. The forum auto resizes them otherwise.

Hmmm Let's see. If I was to put an inline on off switch on a line off the radiator I could then make hot chocolate on the trail and manifold burritos for lunch!!! and as an added bonus I would be warmer because of the anti freeze I would be injesting!!! Who said you need colij to make cool stuff???

need to add a hose to the bottom of the bottle to recolect the coolent when it cools and also a vent for air to excape.

but sweet idea.

hate to tell you, but on a rat rod at a car show this summer i saw a Pepsi bottle as one

My '70 Impala doesn't have an overflow tanlk at all, just a tube running the edge of the rad pointing to the ground. They never used to have them, that was normal. Just watch how much you fill it, put to much in, and your parents get really mad when you show up are their house in your "Classic Car" and spit a couple of cups of antifreeze on their nice pretty driveway.

Oh ya! I had a '65 Mustang and it would leak like crazy!!:eek1: It also had that hose that ran to the ground.

Mountain Dew rocks!!:saweet:

hahaha KJ:haha:

You should try and mount it a bit higher;)
I would also be affraid of it breaking:confused: ie rocks or cold to hot in seconds:rolleyes:

oh and I do belive I have never seen that before hahaha so yes the only one like it:D

From what I have read an overflow is not only good for catchin fluid but keep the air out of your cooling system cuz as your rad cools and 'sucks' thru the overflow you get coolent re-entering the rad not air....FYI

when the radiator cools it creates vacuum & sucks air in under the cap. if u have an overfill resoivor it will suck the coolant back in rather than the air.
