Check Out My Bumpers

Excellent fab for your first time. Looks professionally done:D

What metal, thickness, etc did you use?

They are not done yet. But they will be a little heavy. I will weigh them when I am done and post the weight.

Well I have to finish the bumpers to really see how much work it takes all together. But I still have the templates I made. Also my Blazer is body lifted 3" so they might hang pretty low if your not body lifted. Stay tuned like I said I will post more pictures later.

Nice work man. I wish I could come up with something like that.

Here is some newer pictures. I am still not done. I only can work on this project ounce a week.

I got the front bumper mounted I just need to weld on the shackles and it will be ready for powder coat or Line-x not sure yet.

DUDE...  VERY NICE!.count me in for the templates.an up-coming CK5 vendor?keep doin'what you're doin',man,it's workin' well for ya!

Maybe I can take the measurements and post them or something. Worst case I can try and figure out how to send them. I will have to take pictures and show you how I made the brackets. The stock ones are way to small. The brackets have to support the reciever and the shackles have to support the weight of the truck. I will take some pictures of the brackets when I am done to show how I did them.

These are really good lookin! I often wondered if what yu id could be done without killin yourself. question answered! keep at it!

thats incredible. Did you use a cad program for those cut sheets? Really cool! and great lookin. you should sell them.

Wow...that looks Great! Wouldnt mind having one of those on mt Blazer with my 8274 mounted on it :wink1:

No, I made a carboard template. Then I layed it out flat and traced it out onto the metal.

those bumpers are sweet.. a question thou.. did you make the template out of one piece of cardboard, or did you piece the template together with multiple pieces of cardboard?? Do you have any pics of the temp?

I got a big box from the UPS stock near my house then made it out of one piece that way I could unfold it and make out of one piece of metal. I dont have pics of te templates. I might have to find them. They are real easy to make. I just bend the board where I wanted it. I use cardboard brackets to make templates also. I then use hot glue to glue the brakets to the bumper were the weld would be just to make shure eveything fit right. I was thinking of drawing a diagram of the template and putting the messurments on them for you guys when I get a little time.
