Check this out.. Killer Rust !

Alright, this is in a tech section of the site, so this thread needs tech. We need a tutorial on the proper procedure for repairing this rustbucket with GreatStuff/Bondo/road signs and rivets. And it better include pics so we know how to do it right!:haha:

Actually...for the truly bad this is about the best end for them:

(After anything worth saving is scavenged of course.)

Looks to me like the straight body lined front fenders. Plus the pinstriping, trim moldings, the tailgate filler panel, and the wheels suggest early 90's

I have been wrong before though

Also theres a lock in the rear window crank which means it most likely had power windows :dunno:

hey on my first truck i made a rocker panel out of great stuff and bondo, and used a speed limit sign for a floorboard, didnt use rivits though self taping screws, less work

I've seen lots of floor fixes besides those weld in, factory style patches. I've seen sheet metal and road signs, fiberglass patches, and even glued in wood flooring!

Best body work ive seen is, i was working on a masons truck, the filled in the rust holes with concrete, and make cab corners out of the stuff too.

I fixed my rocker on my k20 with a piece of c channel then patched in the rest with new acadia quarter panel. My body guy buddy just shook his head but it keeps the mud off my pants and most of the cold air out.
