Wow. If I had the means I would buy that and put it in the garage, only take it out during the summer months. I really like the stock look and the black wheels with dog dish caps.

Don't know if it's what I'd call a survivor...the grill is a repop which makes me question the rest. No bowtie, or 350 emblem. I'd say it's been cleaned up and painted in the last 5 years or so, there just isn't any way for black paint to look that good after 33 years unless it was kept in a museum.

Definitely a nice Blazer though.

Don't know if it's what I'd call a survivor...the grill is a repop which makes me question the rest. No bowtie, or 350 emblem. I'd say it's been cleaned up and painted in the last 5 years or so, there just isn't any way for black paint to look that good after 33 years unless it was kept in a museum.

Definitely a nice Blazer though.

There are a couple other things that caught my eye too, having owned a 78 that my parents bought new; were the rear window sliders available in 78? Also, I've never seen those type side mirrors or the chrome gauge bezel on a 78 either. It has always been the little square mirrors and either wood style or black plastic bezel.

But I'm only going off what I've seen; still a beautiful truck for sure!

I had a bone stock 77 with the rear sliders, and the '78 I robbed the tach cluster out of had that exact "chrome" gauge bezel that one has (same tach too, also from a 4 gear truck and also had the red interior). Agree on the mirrors, the swing-out mirrors like those was an '81 up thing. Previous to that it was the tripod style, smaller version of the pick-up camper mirrors.

Now, the red carpets being still red...even here where we don't get brutal sun those carpets would be faded pink 20 years ago.

Just noticed one other thing. The hard top doesn't have and "texture" to it. It appears to have been sanded and then the steel half top and the hardtop painted flat black. Black was available for the hardtop, but it was textured...

don't buy the whole original paint... look at his other auctions. this guy is good at cleaning original stuff up or making repop stuff looked some what aged...like the carpet and stuff...the other car he's selling has the same red interior too...this is the same as making a clone ss it's like making a clone "original" car

yea i had them on my first new blazer, a 76 or 77, ah when i wake up I will remember, anyway I thought it looked more "loaded" with them. Now I lean towards the cleaner look (and less gasket problems) of the flat glass.

He says it was never driven with the top of, but why did they put the hangers on the roof then? That was done by someone who takes it off often.

Those might be the Yakima side loader mounts for a roof rack...

Yeah it's really nice, but it's FAR from being original. For crying out loud the seats don't even match... yeah, you could get basic vinyl or the cool plaid seats, but you couldn't get both. As was already said, there's no way the carpet or paint is original. GM paint didn't even look that nice when it was new.
