Chevy 350 pcv set up

or you could run a vacuum pump to help ring seal and create a negative pressure on the crankcase!

I had the same issue and found out that the pcv on my truck was wrong, I guess there is flow ratings for these somewhere, but I managed to find a oem gm pcv for my engine and that fixed the issue, I run a breather on the other side to allow clean air in, and it seems to help with the higher rpm.

Different covers with baffles if you can't correct this with the pvc system. No baffles theres no obstacle to keep the oil from coming out. At 4k it's splashing spraying every where.
But again if you have excessive blow by all temps would be futile, wouldn't just be at 4k tho.

Yea that's why I'm looking into a 5.3. Just going to get it all together before I tear it apart. Just trying to make it run the best I can with what I got. I might try taking them to a welding shot to see if the could weld on some short tubes with baffles and run the proper pcv system. I think it does need more vacuum since its pushing the oil of breather and the pcv is probably closed due to so much vacuum. I'll get some pics up tomorrow

Those M/T valve covers look good, but that is about it--I had a pair on a 400 SB that I actually found lying in the dump's metal pile many years ago,and looked perfect..I figured someone cleaned out a dead relative's car parts stash and tossed them--also found a nice 66 amp GM alternator and a complete wiring harness in the pile!..among other GM trinkets..the 400 had rusted valve covers that leaked,I thought it was a Godsend those appeared like magic when I was in need of some better ones..

I had issues from day one when I installed those valve covers--like yours, they had only one PCV hole on one,no oil filler cap,and the other had no holes for a breather or filler cap..
My engine started fouling plugs and blowby increased--after that I got disgusted enough to trade them to a friend for a nice pair of original stock valve covers--once I plumbed the breather and PCV back like it belonged, the problems vanished..

My friend put them on a 307 chevy he put in an '84 Cutlass, and it started doing the same thing--he took a hole saw to the cover with no holes and got an oil filler cap with the breather like I pictured above, and he rigged a baffle up for the PCV valve, using the shell of a ciggarrette lighter that the PCV valve fit perefect in,it had a metal "X" across the bottom of it and made a nice ready made baffle..it seemed to do the job,it didn't have the issues afterwards..
