There's a paved road to the top of Pikes Peak now.
There was a Jeep sponsored team that set out to drive to the highest elevation a year or two ago. They broke the record (somewhere in South America maybe?) and put up a flag at more than 20,000'. A couple weeks later a guy on Pirate posted pictures of him and his Samurai at the same spot, taking down the Jeep flag and putting up one he made
