Transmission sold. Entire package actually, Engine, trans, tcase and everything associated.

I'm interested. Does it come with bellhousing?

My transmission-needy truck is a few hours Southeast of you in CR. I could prolly pick it up in person next time I visit IA (in a few weeks).

I don't wanna cut in line if oldtoyboyd wants it, though.

It does come with the bellhousing, info for anybody that is interested.

oldtoyboyd, tell me where the numbers you are interested in are located and i'll get them for you.
 
What bellhousing/clutch setup did you use?

I used the GM bell housing and hydraulic clutch setup. Adapter to BOP for cadillac big block.

I did however, swap the hydraulic line out for a steel line. Got a much better pedal feel after that.

Square-body bell housing (driver-side slave) or GMT400 bell housing (pass-side slave)?


Either way, I'm interested if oldtoyboyd doesn't take it.
 
Either a casting number on the trans or there is a sticker with the gm number on top, if it's still there.

I'll look around for the casting number tomorrow. I doubt that the sticker is there. I'll post up whatever I can find.

I've been told that it's hard to fit a pass-side slave into a square body (clearance issues). I looked through the build thread and was unable to find a picture of what it looked like. How much clearance did the slave cylinder have? I'm picturing both the starter and the front drive shaft hanging out in that area...

I had the Cadillac BB in front of it, start clearance wasn't an issue. I used a high torque mini starter but I don't remember it being put in due to clearance issues.

When I switched to the NV4500, I had also intended on switching to the Ford HP60 but never got that far. That bein' the case, I didn't get the front shaft in. I can't tell you how much clearance there is.

You could always go to a throwout bearing type slave.
 
can't see any numbers on it right now. Probably won't be able to tell I can get it pulled out.
 
OH, and the slave is on the passenger side. Missed that question previously.
