Right, I have trucks for different purposes, they just all happen to be GM 4x4 SUVsHaving multiple trucks solves that problem. The right truck for the right occasion. Thats the abbreviated pitch to my wife why i need 1 or 2 more…hope she buys it.
. Well, I do have a car, too, and it's technically also a GM 4x4.Is that how Rad in that Dodge broke his rear axle shaft last weekend?!?!
Yes it does - this K-5 that @fourwheelerjeff posted has a great stance too.Thats white and yellow k5 stance is near perfection. Great proportions
Maybe one day he will add four more additional splines on them axles so replacement won’t become a common issue. No, he actually broke it turning out of a gas station (heavy throttle but no spinning). I can’t believe he hasn’t broken one before now.
He did order 2 cut to length Yukon 4340 replacements.

Gotta love a K-5 that’s set up just right!
I know what ya mean about the ride height and not realizing how fast you’re goin in those things. If I got a new Chevy does it count? The only brand new Chevrolet I've ever had, I think this one should last me quite a long time, possibly a couple decades as a daily family truck and tow vehicle. I just need to keep it from rusting somehow in the WI winters, which is a whole other subject!
2024 Silverado LTZ 2500HD 6.6 L8T/Allison 10 speed
I drove it home from the dealer and took off the Z71 rancho shocks and bolted on some Bilsteins. Added a tonneau and some GM mud flaps and running boards, I'm rather excited. Feels so solid and it sit's higher, feels like you are going slower.

You should see how it feels in a big rig.I know what ya mean about the ride height and not realizing how fast you’re goin in those things.
I drove a buddy of mines 2023 2500 Duramax ( whatever the engine code it is now ? ) back from Mississippi to Florida last month and wasn’t aware that I was doin 90 MPH at one point - those trucks are SMOOTH !
When I was in my twenties I could hoist myself up in a square with a total of 13” of lift with 44” tall tires - it was rough but did it without complaining.Nice truck.
The ride height is stupid on any newer truck. My RAM 3500 4wd is so high stock, that I had to put my knee on the rocker, then pull on the steering wheel to get in. And I slid out and it hurt my joints. Not to mention destroying the seat. AMP running boards fixed that.
No short jokes.
