Chevy's in the wild

I’m not a fan of stepsides but…..

Awe com’on, ya gotta give the longbed step-side a little luv.

If that thing was look’n back at me the way I’m look’n at it then it’d be com’n home with me to set up camp in my driveway!

When I bought my 85 new, they had a stepside C20 on the lot, in white, bout made me barf.
I had to wait a week to get what I wanted from another dealer.

I totally agree that the 2WD’s look awkward and goofy but if ya polish a turd long enough ( and 4WD is a must ) it could look somewhat appealing.

I like the old ones like that. Anything after the square bodies is a no.

I like regular beds more though. More useful and similar lines to the cab.

I tolerate the square bodies, nothing after.
I love the 40s and 50s, it worked nice with the style of the cab
I agree, back in the 40s and early 50s when the front fenders were all curvy and swoopy a step side looked correct on those cabs, fleet side would look strange. However, in the 60s, 70s, 80s, etc, the step side looks like an afterthought. Doesn't look bad, just doesn't look as correct for the cab as a fleetside at that point. I like them both, but which I like better changes with the cab.

I'm sitting here thinking, is that normal for the tailpipes to go through the rear like that and be so long....doesn't look right....

then I realized...no....that era of Vette is supposed to have sidepipes!

Interesting to see the 1/2 swap on 4wd, but guess must have been a c30 CC, and didnt want to swap to 8lug on 10b. Seems like extra work to inferior result. Looks good tho with the short bed!
