Chevy's in the wild

Wagons would be cool but those old school aluminums are sweet too. They’d be correct if it was a 80’s or 90’s build.

We've been wanting to go to the ice races here, but it hasn't been cold enough for long enough to freeze the ice for racing.

We got a late start this season. We try to get a 8 week season (Jan & Feb), this was our 4th race.
If the ice hold out, we have gone extra week(s) into March for fun, but the points are done by the official season.

20250222_113057.jpgtalked to this guy in the Walmart parking lot, he had a 71 ventura (6cyl, pg). He has a bunch of parts, squares, etc., I mentioned I have a set of 10" rallies. My house is easy to find if you know a local landmark. So he showed up yesterday out of the blue to look at my wheels. He's gonna put them on this. Quick and unexpected $600. Score.

Date night at Home Depot.

When I was a kid our neighbor was a Navy pilot and ordered a brand new beautiful blue 1978 Vette with an L-82 and white interior ( I would have chosen black interior but I was only 8yrs. old and he didn’t ask my opinion ).
I got to ride in it a few times and offended him once when I said that I thought the Trans Am in Smokey and the Bandit ( that movie changed my young life ! ) was faster - he told my Dad that he almost stopped and made me walk back home!
