From Time to time I will come across somebody that has a nice square body, and I will walk over to talk to them about it. They will lift the hood, and tell me about how it has a 383 stroker with aluminum heads, and I will ask them "what brand of heads does it have?". They will say "I do not know". I will ask them "what brand of lift do you have?". They will say "I do not know". Then I will say "how much lift does it have?". They will say "I do not know". Then they finally admit that they bought it that way, and they do not know anything about the truck.

The owner has had the truck for 30 years.
1982 C10 longbed. Said he was thinking selling it as the engine is "tired".. if only it were a K10 or K20 I'd offer some $$ for it.

Rebuilt engine and trans would make a nice daily driver for a lot less money than a new truck.

I guess I'm spoiled out here in OR and before that in CO there's nearly always a fresh square or two (or more) at the yards I frequent. The ones here really don't have much rust.
There were 2 others I didn't bother to photograph since they were more picked over. I'll post some older shots
