Chevy's in the wild

My dad's best friend had a 63. Completely stock survivor handed down from his grandma. Almost the same color but a tad lighter maybe. It was freaking sweet. I drooled over it any time he had it out.

He let a friend drive it and the dude totaled it :doah:. Think someone hit him, but still.:frown

This K-5 has been in Pensacola for at least twenty-five years and has never changed.
It’s a 89~91 with older 70’s K/20 running gear ( including a big-hub D44 with WARNs up front ).
It’s starting to show signs of aging but is still damn nice!
Sorry the pics aren’t better but on the fly pics while driving ain’t always easy.

Man, I’d drive the crap outta that!
It really is a nice ride - and I’m assuming that the air conditioning still works great because it was fairly warm this afternoon and his windows were all up.
When the truck accelerated and shifted ( auto trans ) it seemed to hit the gear changes very firmly - it would make a great semi-daily ride.

Y’all notice the oil pan in that last pic - looks like it’s gotta LS in it.

I saw that as well.. wasn't sure I should get closer, didn't want to be crawling underneath a strangers truck... no transfer case toque bar either. Not sure you could even use one with an LS, depending on transmission I assume .hahahahaha
