Chevy's in the wild

I wonder what he was having done, ain’t a thing on there that Walmart around here would touch…they won’t even patch a tire off the vehicle and won’t touch it if it’s not “stock size”

It’s one of the Walmart auto shop employee’s rig, I think it’s lined up for an oil change… or just showing it off.

I was in the neighborhood that I grew up in today and stopped by an old buddy of mine’s parents place decided to take a few pics of what was once a real nice truck.

As the tag indicates it was last registered in 02 and has not moved since…
It originally came with a 250, 465/208 10/12bolts 3.42’s .
It now still has a really nice ( but old now ) 454 with 10:1’s a set of 049’s and a really nice mild hydraulic wiggle stick [email protected] .533 on a 108* L/S ( @nvrenuf picked that grind out ) and a ceramic clutch ( 465/205 ), standard issue 4.56 & rear D/L CUCV axles, 42” Swamper TSL’s ( that are now no doubt dry rotted but three are still holding air amazingly enough ).This truck had zero rust when it was parked and now it is just withering away - it was sad to see a once well built 90’s era swamp truck just slowly dying like this…
The WARN 8274 has even been stolen off of it.

@tarussell is that Robert’s truck? The first 5 pics won’t load for me but we’re out in the country right now.
Yes it is !
I had to lower my hat across my chest to see this truck in that state….
Ole Robert use to beat on that thing like it owed him money - that thang worked for a living in the 90’s !!

That stepper looks nice!
It’s still gotta “Not for sale” sign on the front of it….
Hasn’t been driven in twenty-one years and still won’t consider lett’n it go - it’s gonna rot in that spot just like the 57 Bel Air did for many years before this when it sat right next to where the truck is parked.

BTW, the tire date codes are from 1992 !
And that front left tire held air up until this past summer - knowing his luck the battery would still work and the twenty plus year old gas would be fine if he were to try and crank it up.
