My brother saw this CUCV in Tokyo this week. Pretty neat find.

Agreed, truck commercials just ain’t what they use to be - here are some pictures of a 1957 Chevrolet 4x4 promotional film climbing Pikes Peak off road.

Even in 1985 Chevys commercials were good - they even let the S-10 get some mud action.

Yeah I think once they stopped, promoting the work truck aspect, and switched to the comfort side more trucks were being sold. I blame the F150. Told factory Ford instructor once that an F150 was not a truck, it was a Sedan with large open trunk. The F150 is totally different than f250 and up, not even the same cab on lighter chassis.

The 454 wasn’t available in 4WD.
