On my 85' GMC sierra, i just had the carb rebuilt about 2 months ago along with a whole new top end on the crate 350.
Last weekend while going deer hunting in the mountains, as i started to really climb in altitude, going to the mountains, the choke light keep flickering on the dash. It continued to do this all weekend and until i came back to the valley, where it flickers on and off randomly.
I looked it up in the manual and it said that it had to do with toxic emissions, perhaps being too hot coming out of the engine? The place where it was rebuilt and tuned was several thousand feet in elevation change as well.
Is this just an old light coming on? it has an electric choke, so what could i do about this??
Thanks for your help guys!

) on a electric choke truck , your gauge could read fine , but the sender above the oil filter on the side of the block could be bad , going bad , or lose pressure when your moving the rig .
