choke light came on and shes idling high

on my way home tonight i hit a bump, the choke light came on, and the she was idling really high when i would stop. i didnt have time to look at her tonight, so any siuggestions about what it might be woul d be great!! thanks guys

wire fell off!

Sounds like the wire fell off the choke--or it blew the choke fuse.-or the choke coil itself failed--.both cause the choke to close again--and the fast idle cam to kick in again--not good on a warm engine--it will make it run real rich,and maybe flood--and KILL your gas mileage --something you need to fix ASAP,and not just because of gas prices--it will gas wash the motor and dilute the oil and wash the oil off the rings if you drive it that way for too long..
