No power to the cig lighter wire as I'm almost ready to put her on the road after lots of new parts on my original 75 K5. All glass fuses are in working order but can't seem to narrow the issue nor see which fuse is for the lighter...Consol?? ya got me or is there a historic fix that's known here just want to charge the phone on adventures....many thanks

My 72 was linked together with the courtesy light in the glove box. Maybe 75 was the same. Then it was plugged into the acc position on the fuse box.

Many thanks I'll look at that app no light in glove box but have a courtesy light up under dash that may be the culprit and is turned on by the headlight switch turning it left.

For Now you can just hook up a power wire to it through a fuse and power It that way. It Grounds itself through the dash. So only one wire to Mess with. You Might have a open spot On the fuse panel to hook it through. There should be a acc spot that comes on with key and one that says bat that hooks direct battery power. Other than that you could run a wire Off the battery or junction block with its own fuse to it until you get the correct wiring Figured out. Have you checked The fuses for a bad one?
