CK1500 won't start....

Could be the cap tilted and let the rotor snap off the little contact that makes the bridge between the coil wire and the spark plug wires..

I've seen many distributors up here with busted off cap hold down screws--usually someone puts a zip tie on them to help hold the cap on,when they were too lazy or cheap to drill it out and fix it right,or get another distributor..

Update: Spark at the coil, no spark at the plugs. Pulled the cap, viola! The center carbon contact is completely gone. So, put on a new cap and rotor. Spark at the coil, no spark at the plugs......The rotor is turning when cranking. I pulled it apart and compared dimensions with the old cap and rotor, identical....The cap "locates" on the dist mount correctly on the index tabs. The coil seems to have enough output, it will spark at the end of a six foot wire. Had to do that, as I'm sitting in the driver's seat when testing
I really don't think this is possible, but here it is. I've run out of ideas, might just have to get a new distributor. Any new suggestions??

Just got off the phone with an old friend in FL. He said to check the cap center electrode carbon contact. Leave the cap connected to the ignition coil, crank it over, and see if I can get a spark through the cap. If that's okay, dangle the coil wire over the rotor while cranking to see if sparks go down the side or through the center. If all okay, get another distributor!!

It runs! After going through the suggestions, the last was buy a new distributor. Popped it in, started immediately!
Lesson learned: Spark strong at the coil, nothing out of the dist cap. Evidently, the modules did work but we're weak in some way. Probably a scope with the module output parameters at hand would show the problem. The old distributor inductive pickup points seemed to touch the triggering points. Anyway, the new dizzy is a Chinese knockoff. The original Delco cap won't quite fit. We'll see how long the dist lasts....
