CK5 Contest ! Most reliable WHEELING rig !!

drove my old 79k10 from New Haven, CT. all the way to San Jose, CA. 3100 miles and wheeled it every weekend for a year before the smog check was due and I decided to build a 1 ton axled pre smog truck instead. Here is a pic of old reliable.

my sister's ex had a really reliable truck. his f150 was fine, aside from being an f150, then he drove it over a curb in a chili's parking lot, and when they came out of the restaurant, the truck was on fire. :haha:. built ford tough.

I do work on my truck quite a bit, most of it PM.

i just like to mess around with it. there are so many free or cheap "mods" you can do to these old trucks, there's always something to do. remove smog pump and all its junk, rewire something, connect tubes and wires where they shouldn't go and see what happens.... i only did that once.

not to brag, but i think ive got most of you beat.

in june we drove from seattle, wa through oregon, through california, into mexico, and 500 or so miles into baja, spent 2.5 weeks exploring, camping, and doing stretches of the 1000 course. we then headed back home and once we got to LA, we decided to do the rest of the way in a one-day-non-stop retarded blast.

o yea, then in early sept drove it back down to san luis obispo, ca for school, then drove it home for thanksgiving, both ways non stop, only stopping for diesel *and pissing.

all it needs is new glowplugs. o yea and tires.... but thats no suprise after those kinda hwy miles.

btw anyone got a line on michelin 11.00r16's?
