Hey Lane
Your Steve Frisby's friend right, I remember now, yes, I have a digital camera so I can get as many pics as needed.

Yeah, I am Steve Frisbies buddy. I would appreciate anything you can post picture wise. I am very interested in this top and have come close to ordering it, but just cant get enough info on it to feel totally comfortable with spending that much money.
Thanks Again Layne

So what is it that you used to be able to get from the ORD website for $475? Were all windows extra or something? Kayline has a "track" design now (no holes to drill) that just requires a velcro strip to be stuck on the tailgate and it is only like $500 or $600, but it is not a full top, it makes a Blazer look like a tonneau-covered pickup truck.

I have contacted both of these companies in the past with simple solutions to get rid of all drilling and have nothing to mount to the tailgate. They both agreed that the idea was good and would probably work, but they were not interested in building it. Of course, that makes sense when you are going out of business.

That's too cool. I have to agree, Can Back makes an awesome product. But since my top is now about 34" long, wouldn't quite work in my application. LOL. Boat shop here i come!!!

Steve,

Do you think that I could just buy the top itself (for a first gen)and not all the mounting stuff? I want to put in a roll cage that the top would fit over. Maby the price would be within by budget too.

Hey laketex, I've seen a bunch of bobbed 4Runners with Can Back tops. They custom make stuff too. Do you have any new pictures of your truck?

biggray, no new pics yet, but you can expect some in 2 to 3 weeks. I've decided to go with a sort of crew cab convertible ultra short bed. LOL. As per requirements, has to keep rear seating. No mad max exo cage...ditched that idea in favor of width conservation. But it's shaping up to be very functional and DIFFERENT.

Hey thanks for asking...it's cool that ya remembered.
