CK5 Meet and Greet at King of the Hammers 2014 - Volunteers needed for the pits!

Who all is going, and when do you plan to arrive / depart?

I am aiming to be on the lake bed by Feb 2nd (Sunday) and will be leaving on Feb 11th.

At this point I am planning to take Penny down with me. I am not supporting a race team this year, so I won't be inside in the pits anywhere unless I am volunteering to help out another team or at the Yukon tent. Race days I will be volunteering for race ops.

Closer to the date of I will post CB / HAM / Race Radio channels & frequencies to catch me on if I am in my truck.

I'd like to do some actual wheeling this year, so maybe we can get a group together and go play?

Hey folks!

I depart for KOH on Friday this week. Anyone else going that would like to get together? I plan on getting myself a US cell phone number and will post it up here when I get it.

Also, we are looking for volunteers to help out in the pits for James Evans from Texas. All we need is folks who can lift a gas can or turn a wrench. You don't need to be overly mechanically inclined or have any experience at all. I'll cover your pit pass (which grants you after hours access to hammer town BTW!). Tools will be provided and you'll only be needed on race day in the pits.

I'm sitting this year out, Stephen and James will be there supporting two rigs, one modified and one unlimited.

I don't know what all of their plans are but they will be in our standard pit location in hammer town by the main gate.

I hope to leave wednesday of this week. Will have friends and brother with me. So helping race day would be tough, but if you got in a bind, I could work something out.

A M&G should be mandatory. I am just playing the entire week.

Really thinking about driving up for the day on Sunday, my house is 4 and a half hours away. How would a Chevy Malibu handle on the lake bed? I know it's a horrible question but it's all I have.

Really wish I had the Monday off I would totally love to help out.

Plenty of cars drive out there. I mean if you can get a 40 ft land yacht coach out there you will be fine

I am looking forward to meeting you! I'll likely be staying in Camp Canada on the west side of Hammer Town along the fence Line. My trucks all have 4502 stickers on em. The buggy is 318. I think. Can't remember haha

Made it to moms in Lake Havasu. Parker 400 contingency tomorrow, race Saturday. Then on to hammer town Saturday evening.
