CK5 Tellico 2003 K5 Run

Should be arriving sometime around 2-3pm on Thursday.and CRASHING immediatly! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif If all goes well with the drive down, and what time we leave. we'll be at the Comfort Inn.....will be 3 possibly 4 of us....

We'll be at Walmart at 5...I think our hotel is across the street???

No /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif comin- but I may end up bringing the /forums/images/graemlins/crewcab.gif, I gotta check the diesel prices on the way down- and then I'll know for sure.

Hopefully someone who knows the area is staying near the same hotel as us- so we can find our way to the NC paystation, Saturday morning.

hey , if it ends up that nobody has a spare seat for a ride along , are 4 wheelers (quads), allowed so i can get
around? . as i said before my truck is not ready for this
stuff yet , but i would like to check it out.
 
Yes ATV's and dirt bikes are allowed (a few trails they are not) Grim would know which ones if that rule has passed. Its great to have some ATV's along sometimes as well, they can scout up ahead and stop other riders at a wide spot in the trail so we can pass each other. On one of our first runs I had two buds with ATV's and this worked great. Also makes for a handy parts chaser on the trails to /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

bee, you will hate those APs. That's what I had when I lived at the beach. They were grear on the sand but sucked up here. Well at least Tellico isn't all clay.

BigJBear...you going to have a spare seat? Looks like I will not be taking Dollar so I'm looking for a ride. Going to be trailering the 79 up to deliver it. Not sure I would be up to trailering it up then going and getting Dollar.

I don't know yet. The wife says she "might" go this yr. If she backs out you got dibs. Hell, I might have to make time to put the back seat in. (no top back there, though) Before someone says "just screw it back in", its not the stock one and would need mount plates for the the seat and belts.

Well I want one but it's a little out of my price range. I could proably only come up with $1k. Wife wouldn't be thrilled with me for spending that either LOL. We have decided to try to sell the house and move. Just ran out of room.

Give away all my plans lol /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif Hopefully they will get me through okay. I aint hittin the real bad stuff yall probly are. I just wanna wheel it some. Next year I will probly be more ready. A six month cruise last year did me in.
 
CK5 run. Bee32's buddy is buying it. It would be bad Karma to wheel it (and it's stock on 31's) and then had him the keys before the mud dries LOL.

I know I know but it's part of the deal with selling the truck. Who knows maybe I can meet Bee32 early Friday to turn over the keys and then go back and get my truck. Just a lot of driving involved to do that.

I wouldn't mind. But I can't say what he would think.LOL I think he is plannin on hittin the road that night. He might be alittle torqued up if he drive 8 hrs with mud drippin off. I told him he had to get used to it. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I don't think he baught off on it.

Wish it were that easy. Problem is 2 kids and one will be getting home from school midday. I'm seeing if my Bud wants to go and can get the day off work on Friday. He swore he would never go wheeling with me again after getting home at 4am one time LOL.
 
BTW there is a couple other gorups going the same weekend. there is a post over at PBB. Looks like SOLOARIS (Rover Club) is going to be there.
 
well lets see...if everything is said and done i will have my blazer there...its in partial disassembly right now due to driveshafts being made and the 60 having gears put in it...otherwise im running 42s, 14ff with 4.88s and locker, 60 with 4.88s and locker w/ crossover is in the process, should also have the warn 12k mounted by then...

if the blazer isnt done though im gonna try and make it down with the 4 wheeler and at least scout and take pics...ill know as time presses on
