Save them to a 3.5" floppy...you must have a floppy drive.

nope,. i wish though.. i dotn have anything but cd rom and internet, ive lost most everything after being laid off out of work for so long now


why dont we have a limit on the quantity of PM's or inbox overall size- rather than by age of said PM's ?

the reason why i have some older than 6 months is because they are important enough to keep cuz contain info that i really dont have a way to copy off and not lose. if i have to lose them due to a 6 month rule then i better quit using the PM feature at all, id be better off just sticking with email messages where i can keep as old of messages as i want, i have some email messages that are 5 years old now, only cuz they contain info i need to keep and that i know they wont be lost unless i were to delete them myself, i cant help that time in this workd is always moving forward and that now some messages that i need to keep still are over 6 months old, maybe we can somehow change the date on those few messgaes to the current year or make them exempt somehow? or maybe evne give each member a certain number of exempt slots to use for messages that they need to keep and not have to worr yabout being deleted ue to being too old ?


maybe no one will understand what i mean or where im coming from,
maybe im not making any good points and am really wasting my finger energy, i dunno,

i gues sits another one of those a few bad ones ruin it for all the good ones kinds of things. i was worried about this happening quite a while back, and everyone brushed it off back then like it was nothing, and now look, its gonna happen..

i understand that they are personal messages, but if it's info that you don't mind sharing you can send them to me and then i can send them back to you. that will update the date and won't be lost.

will this work??

Yes, that is another idea, he could also simply copy the PM text as a notepad document. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

disabled PM feature, im just going to rely on emails from now on, pointless to have PM feature if cant keep a few certain PM's that just happen to be over a measly 6 months old

I'm sure wordpad works on your computer...

Hell, take a screenshot and stick it in Paint. Copy it down on paper with *gasp* a pen. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif
