Who drives either a sweet big rig or class 7 oversized work truck?

I own one. I don't drive it much though. I worked on them for a bunch of years. I don't do that much anymore either. :thumb:

Thats sexy

2010 KW with a Paccar PX8 330hp, Fuller 10 speed, air ride suspension, diff lock, cruise control, cd player, power window/door locks w/key less entry' power/heated mirrors. The bed is 16ft with built in tool chests in the first two big boxes on the drivers side, 90cfm :eek1: hyd driven air compressor, and 12,000lb rated crane with 29 feet of hyd extendable boom. I am a spoiled bitch of a mechanic.....:thumb:

There's no name on your truck... are you independent?

Pretty sweet truck. We're pretty well taken care of up here also. I like seeing other mechanics trucks that are dolled up like mine. Most guys get a truck and its trashed in a few months.

Been in mine since May last year, 40,000 miles and something like 4000 hours on it and I still treat it like it's brand new. I have worked for Vastco for a total of 13ish years, mine is by FAR the nicest mechanics truck we have ever owned. Makes me feel kinda special... :D

This is pretty close to my current ride...

I call her Ugly Betty. :D

Yeah, those MB's aren't much to look at, and it's slow as fock too. Still, it's a good working truck and it packs a hell of a load. Most important to me is it's reliable, unlike some of the other truck we have.

Mine is actually uglier than the one pictured, needs a good acid wash.

The company we are currently in a joint venture with has a lube truck built on an old Mack trash truck chassis. 1,400,000+ miles and 68,000+ hours :eek1: :eek1:

I know there has to be more drivers on this board. Keep posting up the pictures. Every time my son sees the trash or recycle truck he points it out. "I want to do that dad!"

Damn...

Ugly Betty has 200,000 miles and 17,750 hours on her. I haven't seen one with more than 35,000 hours and about 400,000 miles on it at WM yet. Most are near dead by that point.

It's a decent gig as long as you're not easily grossed out. Probably one of the best incomes you can find considering the education required. The best (and most important) part for me is that it is pretty much recession proof. No matter what the economy does, you're working.
