clearing really big tires cheaply questions

so i know tryign to clear 44 inch boggers for cheap is kinda an oxymoron. but with my project k5 just needing the right lift height and the 1 tons under it ill be ready to bog. my question is what tricks is there to get enough lift to clear them without spending a fortune? i dont wanna use blocks with my 383 putting out the 550 rear wheel it dynoed at in the chassis. the superlift 12 inch summit sells isnt out of the question but is it enough lift to clear 44 19.50 16.5's boggers and i have to build it without using a body lift because im not a fan of them for what we do. the trucks not gonna see much road time either. ive seen many different ways of going about it but id like everyones opinions to figure out the best way to make it hold up in the mud hole

I had 10 with 39.5's with zero trimming. I would think 12 with 44s may need a little trimming.

Now mud hole, are you talking about racing, it just playing around
 
Sawzall and angle grinder with cut off disc is by far the cheapest to gain lots of clearance. Combine that with a mild lift kit you can make it work. The advantages of a lower lift is a cheaper cost because you don't have to deal with all the driveshaft and steering corrections. Unless you are driving through ponds there is no reason to have a sky high truck and keeping it lower will keep it more stable and actually have articulation.

I've ran 39.5's with 4" of lift and another guy ran 44's with 6" of lift.

Now mud hole, are you talking about racing, it just playing around

playing around but we do have ponds at the bog ill be going through so i need the lift to keep the engine out of the mess as much as possible. im rigging up a sheet metal cover for under the engine and running the intake to the cab but i still need to be high

If that the case than run a shackle flip out back and 52s up front. The designated height of the spring will be 4in taller. So 12in 52s up front will be 16inches.

where do i get 12 inch lift 52s from? re arch a Factory set? and il get pics posted when i figure out how to lol
 
You Don't need to be that tall, I've ran plenty of Mud in my day unless your going to one of those inbred "mudfests" were you drink beer all day and drive back and forth throug the same puddle . you dont need our WANT 12" lift springs

Front Suspension:
DIY4X B52 kit
56" 6" lift rear leafs
Crossover steering
Hyrdro Assist
ORD sterring braces
DIY4X front upper shackle hanger kit.
Ford Shock towers
Bilstein 5100's
High Angle driveline with extra long slip

Rear Suspension:

6" lift 63" springs for an IFS truck
DIY4x shackle flip
DIY4X Anti wrap bar
DIY4x shock relocation kit
Bilstein 5100's



and then use this to open up your fenders

we have a couple of those milwaukees at work, they totally kick ass.

Really though, a .065 wheel on a4.5"grinder works really well and you can do really smoothe curves

I've cut lots of fenders, grinder works ok just takes a little longer . But after using shears I'll never go back! :D

What I like best about the shears is how much control you have and that it doesn't chip or burn the paint .

i dont wanna cut too much. i gotta trim some damage though. id rather use suspension to clear my tires. seneymudbogg.com thats where we play
