Stupid hard. PO said he just replaced it all. Silly question, but would a transfer case drop/spacer cause binding with the zbar linkage? Figure he didn't do something right, adjustment is needed or something, but figure I'd ask about the t-case drop.

And, I've never had to give a sm465 gas when in low to get going, just release the clutch. To see what'd happen it was in low/low, and still required gas. Flat, no load. Granted, the engine is running like a turd, but still.

Check to see if the zbar pivot is parallel to the ground. Dropping the tcase could have moved the transmission side down to low and put the linkage in a bind.

Don't worry about needing low gear until you get the motor running right.

The throwout bearing might be dragging on the collar it slides on if it got rusty or was boogered up previously and not smoothed off or replaced..

A little follow up. I cleaned all the mud off the linkage, greased the zirk that probably hasn't been done in years, and spray lubed some of the linkage, removed the trans/transfer case xmember spacers. It pushes a bit easier, I think it'll take removing the trans to really figure it out. But the front axle is off, not dropping it till I get that back on.
