No experience myself but that looks like a good kit. probably easier than a pedal swap too!
@ZooMad75 might be a better one to know as he just did a pedal swap.

Looks like an alternative, but I didn't use it. I dug mine out of a junkyard truck.

Price is comparable to what hydro pedal sets go for typically.

They don't have instructions posted on the page yet. But based on how it looks I'm betting you need to pull the pedal assembly out of the truck to do the conversion. It does lack the support struts that the stock setup has. So I don't know if you are going to have the firewall oil can or flex when you press the pedal down.

Good point on the lack of supports i will keep an eye out for a factory one and if i cant come up with one i will consider settling for the aftermarket option. Im not swapping till spring so hopefully one will turn up for sale. Thanks

I have been trying to have these made and sell them but lack the cad abilities to have them done up.
Strut rods are a critical part of this swap.
Hydraulic pedals are only getting harder to find and more in demand. The price seems market competitive but stock parts can still be found for 20 bucks.
This is basically the exact same idea I had but im too slow to the punch. I bet these will do really well.

I wish i could find stock parts for $20 like others have said they are hard to find and spendy when found

All you got to do is go hunt. They are out there.
Drug home a good ford 60 for 100 bucks last weekend.
The trick is to leave the market place. Once its there, its already met someone like me and been marked up to full value.

I paid $100 for mine at a junkyard. They are out there but you have to go digging for them.

I’m swapping in an nv4500 right now. I looked for about a month before I found that a member on another site had a complete assembly with a steering column and some other stuff for $150. I didn’t want to pay to ship everything so I offered $150 for the pedals alone.

While looking, people have them listed on eBay for $400+! To further complicate things, my truck is a hydro boost truck, so I had to be even more picky.

I checked out the aftermarket one you’re asking about, but with the lack of firewall support I knew some fab would be required. At that point, I figured I’d just apply that fabrication time to modifying a z-bar pedal assembly. Can’t be a much more time.

If you aren’t swapping in the near future, it pays to wait. Swapping in the factory is so much cleaner and easy.

Yep i know they are hard to come by so im looking now since im swapping in spring. Did you do a write up or have a parts list from your swap?

No, I just started a build thread. Hopefully all my parts fit. I bought a new nv4500, AA 712576 b/h, AA slave bracket, LUK slave/master for 86 k30, McLeod clutch/pressure plate/TO bearing, center force billet flywheel...

The truck is a CUCV so it has the flat ‘84 crossmember. I’m using a piece of 4”x4” .25” wall tubing for a spacer. I’m sticking with the 32 spline np208 for now. I’m looking for a round pattern 205 for the future.

Nothing wrong with the AA bell and slave bracket. Other than the price that is!

Some may not agree on the bracket. Not sure why, but I’ve seen three different iterations of it. There’s currently a thread on steel soldier with multiple unhappy customers. I had to chop and reshape the rod and cut my slave boot for full ROM.

Between the aa price and what my buddy Larry has been through with his suburban and it's AA bell housing and clutch I went the other way. I used the later style (96 and up) internal slave cylinder bell housing and clutch. Two adapters and a line with AN fittings and it matched right up to the stock squarebody master cylinder.

The clutch is butter smooth. And there is nothing to need to adjust. It works like factory.

Getting ready to do this swap in my 68 K10. Found a guy on the 67-72 truck board that makes a killer setup for the early trucks. I'm excited for o/d.
