Thanks again, CK5 members, for helping me with the overheating issue discussed earlier. The Blazer runs great and doesn't overheat.

I'm in the process of adjusting the tranny cable to make it shift like it's suppose to. Nothing major. Just a couple more trips around the area and it will be good.

My concern is a code 15. The CEL came on for a sec and then went off. It happened at idle and when I took off, the light went out. I checked the ECM with the shorting clip and got code 15.

The Blazer had a single exhaust but I went to duals with headers. I had to have a bung welded onto one of the headers for the O2 sensor and I was wondering if the code 15 had something to do with the one wire O2 sensor? Should I go with the 3 wire O2 sensor?

Another thought is, I replaced the stock water temp gauge with an aftermarket electric one. Is the ECM not getting the correct temp reading because the aftermarket temp gauge is not hooked up to the dash circuit?

What are your thoughts and ideas on this?

Well 15 is an open coolent temp sensor so I'd check it's function first.
Also, you don't adjust TV cables to drive nicely! You set them to the proper setting and leave it at that. Have a read of the Article 101 at the top of the page at www.tvmadeez.com .

The new guage shouldnt have anything to do with it. The guage gets its reading from the sensor in the head. The computer gets its feed from a sensor in the front of the manifold near the water neck.

Might just be a loose or bad connection at the sensor in front of the thermostat housing.

I"ll set the tranny cable up using the method described in the above thread. I did'nt know there was such a process to set up the TV cable. It's a brand new tranny so I'll do as it says to a tee.

I'll post pics of the Blazer soon.

Thanks for the advice and help. :wink1:

After further inspection, I found that the coolant temp plug was not pressed all the way down to where it snaps on to the clip of the sensor. Code 15 no more. Thank You :D
