Comp. poly motor mounts

If you wanna give it a whirl I've got a pair of rods off of my old drivetrain that you can have.

well looks like most of the questions have been answered .

now 1 good one for ya. will these work with the brace rod plates that sandwich between the block and mount. and if not can you add the tab to the motor mount to alow use to bolt our rods to the new mount and eliminate the plates.

dont forget there would then need to be left and right side motor mounts as the tabs both kick backwards.

chew on this one for a sec or so.

good point.... gotta have supports between the mounts and the th400s cast inspection cover!

I dont think there really needed, I havent seen a buggy out there yet that runs them.

Funny you should ask! When I made the first set up I looked into adding a tab onto the back side for the brace rods. I opted to leave the tab off, for a couple reasons. One, if you already have the brackets for the brace rod, why pay for them again. Two, this way is pretty clean and time tested, no reason to reinvent the wheel.

Now that you ask the question though, I didn't fit them with the brace rod bracketry in place. I'll answer that question yet today.

buggys are quite a bit different from my K5s on this site. They weigh a lot less and have a MUCH more rigid frame. K5 frames can be wet noodle-like at times. I'd like to give my tranny all the support I can.

At any rate I just ordered a set, I hope they get here faster then a week like Tracey said.

a week isn't bad at all for something custom hand fabbed + shipping time... is it?

ahhhh ok. Acceptable wait time for me personally... but to each their own I guess!

More than likely less time than that. Pretty caught up right now. When I'm under the gun its about a week.

that was a, I forgot DOH.

They will work together no prob.

I just held them up together and there are no clearance issues at all. The humpity bump is on the back of the clam shell. Couldn't remember for sure which piece it was on.

Id send you the motor mounts out of my 72... if it had come with them. :( Im gonna need a set too, hope you get something happening for us first gen'ers. ;)

Does the wraptor fit first gens? Im guessing not.
