Comp. poly motor mounts

Id send you the motor mounts out of my 72... if it had come with them. :( Im gonna need a set too, hope you get something happening for us first gen'ers. ;)

Does the wraptor fit first gens? Im guessing not.

Got something going on for engine mounts for first gens. Not sure if the wraptor would fit first gen trucks or not. Frame width is the crucial measurement. The rest could easily be altered.

Got my mounts Kerts, thanks for getting them out quick.
They look good, I should be installing them this weekend.

I thought you were talking to me for a second. :doah:

So I got a little problem with the mounts. I went to install them today and some of the holes dont line up.
There are 3 bolts that hold the bottom mount to the frame bracket, in your mounts there is a extra one at the bottom. Not a big deal but Im just wondering why its there.

The top 2 bolts are the ones that dont line up, they are drilled about a 1/4" wide on each hole.
Normally I wouldnt care, but after waiting for 3 months to get my Stak in, I finally got it installed. Without the poly motor mounts I cant wheel. So hopefully we can get this taken care of. I realize that this is a new product and there are those few mishaps so im not to upset about it.
But here are some pictures of what I am talking about.
Here is the frame side mount with the 3 holes used.

New mount over top of stock mount, you can see the holes are to wide.

Here you can see that better.

Bottom mounts line up fine, I assume you just copied the stock mount which is the reason for the extra hole.

this is just Kerts way of slowing down your build so I can catch up. Buwhaahahahahaa! ;)

Installed the other one centered up the motor and all of the holes are about 1/2" above the stock holes.

Im tempted to just weld them in just so I dont have to mess with the downtime and shipping them back. Bolts are just another thing to come loose anyways:crazy:

Looking into this right now. Should know something by the end of the day or sooner.:doah:

OK, somewhere between measuring, drafting and building fixtures, things got off a tad. Some error also crept in on the original measurements due to the factorys "Slop" build in.

I have a set bolted to a frame with a block bolted on right now. Gona do a double check tomorrow on another frame just to be sure.

Whilst rechecking everything today, we also saw some things that we didn't like after making the corrections, so we ended up doing a small redesign at the same time.

85Mudblazin, PM sent.

Replacements will start shipping tomorrow. Thank god there isn't very many!

it's gonna be great :D i'll be the first to own one...hey Kert, i got a buddy that has a '86 K5, maybe i could use his frame & my frame to compare measurements to see if the wraptor will work. what measurements would be needed?

wait, you still need wraptor measurements? My rig has no body at all right now, easy to measure junk. If you need anything off an '85 lemme know...

Mine is back up and running with my new blinging motor mounts, the only ones of there kind:D

motor and tranny dont move at all now, I feel much better with them in there. A+++ product and GREAT customer service.
