I wouldn't get too attched to the brand... that exact same compressor shows up as a Husky, and a Speedaire. Not sure which the 'master' company is /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
I have the smaller version of that compressor in the Speedaire name. Same pump and motor, but the 20-gallon tank, and its portable. I run it harder than I should - given the small tank. Gives me no grief at all.
Also, that basic cast-iron 2-cylinder compressor (or a VERY close facsimile) was used as an airbrake compressor on older 5-ton GM trucks.
FWIW, my local tool store (www.kmstools.com) advertised reman'ed units of that C-H compressor. When I dropped in (for other tools) they were actually a mix of all three brands. Easy to tell they were the same aside from the paint job. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
The last compressors I saw at Sears (here in Canada) did not impress me at all. They were oil-less aluminum teflon-lined POS's that were *loud*. They are similar to the DeVilbiss ones I see at Costco.
